Now that the jury has spoken, it's clear to me that Trayvon was in the wrong, was actively trying to harm Mr. Zimmerman, and probably bought the bullet that killed him.
OTOH, I can completely understand why there is such a profound loathing of the police (and by extension an armed 'neighborhood watch') by the black community.
Because of shit like THIS:
A SIXTY YEAR OLD MAN going through HIS OWN CAR in HIS OWN DRIVEWAY is shot by the cops at 2:30 in the morning because of a "911 call" causing the police to respond, give orders to the man, and he.... "didn't comply."
You hear that? "Comply or die."
Fortunately the mindless imperial storm troopers that shot at him--FIFTEEN ROUNDS!--exhibited their usual marksmanship and, well, mostly missed.
Somehow or other I don't think the cops would have shot if he suffered from a melanin deficiency.
Of course this happens every day. Every week. Every month. Every year.
The police chief needs to resign NOW. The cops need to be arrested NOW. And the police of Escambia need to be retrained. YESTERDAY.
Nope. Trayvon probably had it coming. But this old man did not. And it makes perfect sense, after losing enough innocents, that people would be a *mite* suspicious about the Zimmerman shooting.
Just a mite.
ADDENDUM: From Los Angeles: another cop with an .... overrefined .... sense of self preservation.
This time victim white male and cop female, but principle remains the same.
NOTE: Don't bother trying to watch the video. You'll just get 30 seconds and a commercial.
